For the past 5 years Seaworthy has primarily been a solo adventure. Although I have collaborated with many talented artisans in making a collection of very special things, it’s finally time to add an official First Mate to the crew.

I’m looking for a talented and dedicated craftsperson with a passion for making timeless artifacts. This person also needs to help me run the ship – someone who can raise the bar on quality and efficiency through smarts and creativity. They will run the workshop and eventually a crew of craftspeople. They’ll help to build a healthy, creative, inspiring workplace.

It’s early in the development of the business, but the vision is clear, and I’m looking for someone to be an integral part in bringing the vision life. You won’t be a cog in a machine; you’ll be central to how our products get made and how the company evolves. I’m looking for someone for whom that sounds like a fantastic opportunity.

Seaworthy’s flagship workshop & design office is located in the historic maritime district of Ballard.

– Dominick Montalbano / Captain Seaworthy

Design & Fabrication – of custom jigs & tools for production

Extremely Detail-Oriented – quality isn’t negotiable

Organized & Steady Under Pressure – even when juggling multiple tasks

A Self-Starter – anticipate what needs to be done & do it
