Sabrina serves as the Director of Career Services at San Antonio College which oversees Career Services and Experiential Learning.  She previously served as a Coordinator of Student Success in the Transfer & Career Center at San Antonio College. During her employment in higher education, she has served in a variety of areas including admissions, academic affairs, and most recently student affairs.

Sabrina is the former President of the San Antonio College Staff Senate. She has served as a committee grant writer for SAC’s Unlocking Opportunities through the Aspen Institute and the Seal of Excelencia through Excelencia in Education which were awarded to the institution. She contributed to the application for the Carnegie Elective Classification for Leadership for Public Purpose which was awarded to San Antonio College in 2024. She currently is a trained facilitator for Community Healing Circles within the Alamo Colleges District.

She is a proud graduate of South San Antonio High School and earned a Bachelor of Public Administration with a certification in Nonprofit Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She holds a Master of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Organizational Development from the University of the Incarnate Word. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rowan University.

Impassioned social servant with a strong connection to work related values such as helping others, large scale impact, and working to create a better future for our communities. This is why I intentionally chose and am proud to work in the field of Higher Education. I have 16 years of experience serving students in a large, public, four year, Hispanic Serving Institution. I have served very diverse majors, classifications, academic disciplines, industries, and student demographics and quite frankly enjoyed every aspect of Career Services work. I enjoy engaging audiences – large and small – to address career planning and job search related topics. From industry specific resume workshops to large scale industry panels, I am accomplished in meeting student needs. I also have extensive experience working to serve fatherless youth in diverse communities, serving as a volunteer basketball coach, and youth group advisor – all some of the most rewarding experiences of my service journey.

I also love sports, health and wellness. I am an avid (and terrible) golfer, a life long swimmer, and an absolutely die hard basketball fan (Go Spurs Go!). I bleed UTSA Roadrunners orange and blue (2021 C-USA Champs!). I am a fan of mental health wellness and advocacy and follow the work of Eckhert Tolle, Dr. Nicole Lepara, and David Foster Wallace, some of my favorite thought leaders.

Julieta is originally from the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) and is proud to be a first generation student. She left the RGV upon high school graduation to pursue a bachelor’s degree and unbeknownst to her, eventually complete a master’s degree; both degrees earned from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She did not imagine higher education would be her calling but 20 years later, she is still in the field and thoroughly enjoys working with college students. Her roles over the years include admissions processing, recruitment, academic advising, adjunct faculty and most recently, career services professional. Each position has provided an avenue to assist students with not only their academic needs but also overall wellbeing.

Joining the Career Readiness and Experiential Opportunities Office in October 2024, Nancy brings a decade of experience in higher education administration. Before relocating to San Antonio in 2022, she worked extensively in career services, student affairs, and employer relations. Her career includes positions at Barnard College’s Career Development Office and Columbia University’s Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action.
