>> This equip-- I got 15 or M16s military version rifle that I carry. And then I also have a 12-inch shotgun which the shotgun is-- was usually when I grab something, it's that rifle 'cause you get more fire power. But there are-- there is a time for a shotgun, too. Chad Winn, W-I-N-N, Kentucky State Police. I'm currently a detective-- assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green. We cover eight counties in Missouri. All right, I'll tell you back up. Turn around, all right. Look to your left or right. Look to your right, spread your legs. Put your hands behind your back, palms up, palms up, higher, higher. Lean over. Get them up of your back, get them up of your back. Look to your right, look to your right. OK. So you would go in and the speed cuffing technique is you want to stack their hands-- look to your right. You don't-- Spread your legs more. You want to get him off balance. Hands up, higher, higher. You come in. >> Aw. >> There you go. >> They're on their good. >> Yeah. So you want to escort him and like start at the back, you just-- just right here. >> Ouch. >> What would say? So there you are. >> Yeah, he just bent my hand really far. >> Cool. So you're going to give me those keys, right? >> No, I'm [inaudible]. He's going to sit in the car. >> Do not break the law, this does not feel good. >> Thanks, Chad. >> I'm assigned at least all eight counties, investigate serious crimes. It's not separate so much with drug and special investigation is separated, but as far as-- if you're a general detective, you work in homicides. Any kind of questionable death, suicides, you work in the rapes, robberies, child abuse, and things of that nature. I have to just-- as recent as this week a lady pled here in Bowling Green where she had-- there's a fetal abduction, she have abducted a 20-year-old female. She had faked her pregnancy, abducted her, killed her and cut the baby out and kidnapped the baby which the baby is finally made it. I mean she just pled this actually Thursday to a life without parole. So that was one of the harder homicides I've ever investigated. >> Sure. >> Just the brutality of it. There're some mundane times on the job. It's not always expect [phonetic]. There's a lot of paperwork. People don't realize there's a lot more for every action-packed day you have, you got hours and hours to pay for it and that's especially true investigations. So lot about documentation is a big key in dotting your eyes and crossing your teeth.
