>> My name is Norah Perez and I'm the Director of Student Employment here at Rollins College. I've been working in this role for about 2 years and I actually created the office from the ground up. So, it's been a really interesting experience to start an office from zero and turn it into a functioning office that serves over 700 students a year. Well, on any given day I come into the office around 8:30 and I look through my email and kind of put out some fires. There are always things going on with students working on campus, either new students being hired or students having questions that I try and help resolve with either the students themselves or with their supervisors. I often talk to parents too who have questions about how a student can get an on campus job. And then I'm usually preparing for trainings or presentations to either our current student employees or students at Rollins that are looking for a job. Along with that, I work extensively with our Human Resources Department, our Payroll Department, a Financial Aid, and our IT Department. So, I'm a lot of times just connecting people together through my work. I work 8:30 to 5 Monday through Friday, but I'm usually working outside of those hours as well. So, I work from home sometimes in the evenings or on the weekends, just depending on some big projects that we might have in line or if I get an email from a student that's urgent then I make sure to get back to them as soon as possible.
